Dear Skating Friends, Silver Blade Tours, Inc. is looking forward to visiting historical Quebec City, Quebec for the 2002 Master Card Skate Canada International, second Grand Prix event of the 2002-2003 skating season. Last year's champions were Sarah Hughes, (reigning Olympic Ladies Champion), Alexei Yagudin (reigning Olympic Mens Champion), Jamie Sale and David Pelletier,(reigning Olympic Pairs Champions), and Shae-Lynn Bourne and Victor Kraatz, Ice Dance Champions.

Québec City is the capital of the province and the only walled city north of the Rio Grande. This European-like city blends the old with the new featuring the conveniences of a modern city. Our landmark hotel the four- season rated Fairmont Hotel Chateau Frontenac sits on a bluff and overlooks the St. Lawrence River. With its impressive spires, green copper roof, towers, and turrets, this castle sits adjacent to the Plains of Abraham, where important battles between the French and the British were fought. This hotel is the official host hotel for 2002 Skate Canada.

In between skating events, you can visit the Old Fort, or take a horse drawn carriage ride down the cobbled streets of Old Quebec City. Descend down ''Breakneck Stairs'', the Escalier Casse-Cou to the oldest part of town and you will find time to visit quaint shops, corner bistros, and art vendors in the market squares. If you are interested in museums, you can visit the Musee du Fort featuring mililtary history and the Musee de-la Civilisation which explores human history and folk art.
