Dear Skating Friends,
Silver Blade Tours, Inc. is pleased to return to Washington, DC sight of the
2003 World Figure Skating Championships. The last worlds the United States
hosted was in 1998 in Minneapolis, MN.
As the season continues after the Olympics, it will be exciting to see the up
and coming competitors make their mark on skating history. The MCI Arena is
situated in the heart of Washington.
Our hotel for the week is the Four-Star Renaissance Mayflower Hotel located
at 1127 Connecticut Ave. NW in downtown Washington. This National Landmark
Hotel is 15 minutes from Washington National Airport and centrally located
downtown. The White House is 4 blocks away and nearby historic sights such
as the Washington Monument, Capitol, and Smithsonian are 10 minutes away and
easy accessible via the Metro. Downtown has numerous ethnic restaurants,
museums, and shops.
